Dr. Josey Hutchinsis a valued member of Chelsea Animal Hospital.
Dr. Josey Hutchins is originally from Grenada, MS. She received a Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Nutrition, and Health Promotion from Mississippi State University in 2014 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University in 2018. After graduation, she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Hospital in San Antonio, TX.
After completion of her internship, Dr. Hutchins moved to Memphis, TN where she practiced for the first 2 years at a small animal general practice. She has spent the last 2 years practicing emergency medicine.
Dr. Hutchins is excited to have relocated with her family to the Birmingham area. She lives with her husband and little boy, who they welcomed in July 2022, and their two pets, a golden retriever named Neely and a red tabby cat named Ollie.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Hutchins enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing tennis, exercising, cooking, and playing the piano.
